Our Vietnamese Language class celebrated the end of their learning course by learning how to make bánh cuốn! Bánh cuốn is Vietnamese steamed rice rolls with different various fillings such as ground pork, dried shrimp, and wood ear mushrooms, usually served with nước mắm, (Vietnamese fish sauce) chả lụa, (Vietnamese sausage), and crispy fried shallots.

Led by Yenvy Pham and her mother, the students learned how to properly cook and steam the rice batter, how to slam it onto a plate so that they are neatly flat, how to fill it and roll it, and how to garnish it. The result was a delicious, interactive, and fun filled Saturday afternoon.

Be sure to keep an eye out on when the next enrollment date will be for the Vietnamese Language Class!
