CLS is an outdoor festival celebrating culture and community. The festival is hosted in late August and features local food vendors and artists. Some of the activities include live entertainment, local cuisine and street food, children’s activities, and community resources.
Also referred to as Creative Placemaking, is a strategy that helps to shape the physical and social character of a neighborhood, town, city, or region around arts and cultural activities. In collaboration with local partners and the City of Seattle, Little Saigon has received funding for the following projects:
- Park (site acquired by Parks Dept., design and engagement anticipated to begin in 2018)
- Public Art
- Translated Street Signs
- Decorative Crosswalks
